"If expansive sounding rock is your thing then Colours Of One more than deliver"
ROCK SOUND
Formed early 2008 in the suburbs of Bridgend, South Wales, Colours Of One are steadily carving a reputation for themselves as one of the UK\'s most exciting talents, with their brand of enticing alternative rock. Melodic and radio friendly but with imagination, bite and character, this sound has earned Colours Of One positive reviews and features in likes of Rock Sound, Kerrang, Classic Rock, Power Play, Front and a plethora of reputable regional and online magazines.
In 2010 the band released a mini-album entitled ‘Bad News Makes Big Noise’. Tracks from this EP were selected for airplay on BBC Radio One, XFM, Planet Rock, Total Rock and a myriad of regional and internet stations. ‘BNMBN’ was identified by BBC Music as one of the top 10 Welsh records of the year.
2012 saw the band release ‘BNMBN’s follow up ‘Apparitions’ - recorded at Sonic One Studios, and mastered by Jon Astley (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Stereophonics). The EP garnered praise from music press and the video for lead single ‘Echoes’ was placed on Kerrang! TV’s night time playlist, as well as being selected for airplay on XFM, Q Radio, BBC Radio Wales, Nation Radio, Total Rock among others. The band recently worked with Ben Smith (Kids In Glass Houses, Funeral For A Friend, Rise To Remain) on the video for new single ‘Dust & Chalk’ - the second taken from ‘Apparitions’ - which was again selected for rotation by Kerrang! TV in April 2013.
Colours Of One have toured the length and breadth of the UK, playing many famous stages - including Cardiff International Arena, Manchester Academy, London’s 100 Club - and have shared the stage with many established artists - including Attack! Attack!, Jonah Matranga, Failsafe and Straight Lines.
